First published in April 1891 by the Hyde Park Historical Society, the prospectus of the publication describes its purpose as, “The object of this publication is the advancement of the interests of the Hyde Park Historical Society, the publishing of articles of historical interest relative to Hyde Park and its vicinity, and the encouragement of historical study and research. ”
